Question, sample and how items were counted

Question
How does the share of divorced residents vary across counties, and how much local choice of law offices is there?
Sample
All 87 counties from the 2019 to 2023 American Community Survey, and statewide one-year estimates from 2021 to 2024.
Who is included
Every county. Rankings use counties with at least 10,000 residents 15 and older. No lawyer or firm is scored.
Method
A script reads Census tables B12001, B12503 and B19013, computes shares and margins of error, and joins law-office counts. Law-office counts come from Census business data used in our earlier county study and include offices of every kind.
